News & Inquiry / Noticias y Pregunta:: Los Lupeños de San José announces their 2008 season
Following an acclaimed performance in Linda Ronstadt's set at the 16th Annual San José Mariachi Festival, Los Lupeños will accompany Miss Ronstadt and Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano at the San Manuel Indian Casino in San Bernardino, California on Thursday, November 8, 2007. Following that, they've lined up a full schedule:

A series of 4 dance events at the MHC Plaza kicks off on February 10, 2008 in the Pavilion at 2pm with a traditional Sunday Tardeada of music and dance. A great way to brighten up winter doldrums: spend a warm afternoon immersed in Mexican culture!

On Friday, April 25, 2008 Los Lupeños will host Ballet Folklórico Quetzalli direct from Veracruz, México at the MHC Plaza Theater at 8pm. Musicians and dancers from Quetzalli offer a varied repertoire of dances, including choreographed works from their area of México. Los Lupeños will join Quetzalli onstage for an incredible collaboration!

The weekend of May 10 & 11, 2008, Los Lupeños offers a special concert: Amor de Madre, a Mother's Day Celebration. This unique weekend where Mother's Day in México and the United States fall back-to-back inspired Artistic Director Tony Ferrigno to create a special concert of music and dance that honors the traditions that we learn from our mothers. Bring your mother to this celebration at the MHC Plaza Theater at 8pm Saturday and 2pm Sunday.

Los Lupeños ends its season collaborating with Peruvian maestra Gabriela Shiroma in Pearls of Dance: The Cultural Journey of the Manila Galleon. This debut production at 3pm, Sunday June 29, 2008 at the MHC Plaza Theater combines dance and music from Spain, Peru, México, and the Philippines as the story of commerce between countries parallels the story of love between cultures and classes.
